Aurora Title Sequence - demo artwork

The brief

A festival needed an opening title plus a dozen bits of on-screen furniture, produced fast and looking related.

The approach

One typographic behaviour, applied at different speeds and scales, generated the whole set. Cheap to produce, hard to mistake for anyone else.

Animate one idea properly

A single type behaviour, refined over three days, instead of twelve different effects.

Scale it across formats

Same behaviour at cinema, screen and vertical. The timing changes, the idea does not.

Template the furniture

Lower thirds and stings as editable templates the festival team drove themselves during the event.

Selected frames

The result

The full set delivered in under three weeks, with the festival team producing their own variants live during the event.
